ASWM Participates in InDiMaND Project Round Table

The Association of South-Western Municipalities (ASWM) took part in the first round table of the InDiMaND – Integrated Disaster Management Network in the Danube Region project, held on 21–22 October 2025 in Podgorica, Montenegro. The event was hosted by the Ministry of the Interior of Montenegro, Directorate for Rescue and Protection Operations (MoI RPD), and gathered project partners and experts from across the Danube Region.

The meeting focused on improving cross-border coordination, risk assessment, and institutional preparedness for disaster response. Partners shared experiences and best practices related to volunteer engagement, forest fire management, and community involvement in civil protection.

ASWM contributed to discussions on the role of local authorities and the need for integrated mechanisms to strengthen regional resilience.

The round table concluded with a Steering Committee meeting led by the Budapest Firefighters’ Association, where partners outlined the next steps for implementing joint actions and capacity-building activities under the InDiMaND project.

This activity is implemented under the project “Integrated Disaster Management Network in the Danube Region – InDiMaND,” co-funded by the European Union through the Danube Region Programme.
